About The Role
The purpose of the role is to provide an advanced level of the full range of general practitioner service to all eligible clients with a significant role in supporting other clinicians, including mentoring of inexperienced clinicians and supervision of students.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide high quality general dental practitioner oral health services to the eligible population with referral of patients to the appropriate specialist where required.
- Have advanced skills and experience in an area of clinical treatment that aligns with the service delivery of West Moreton Oral Health, including managing school dental clients.
- Provide clinical leadership to the Oral Health Services clinicians.
About You
- Experience in the provision of all aspects of general practitioner oral health services, including comprehensive knowledge of Infection Prevention practices and proven skills in one or more specific areas of oral health to deliver comprehensive service to community clinic clients and, if rostered, to clients of correctional centres.
- Experience in providing high-quality patient oral health care on both a personal and population basis, with the ability to understand and respond to patient needs and manage client complaints and expectations.
- Ability to provide and accept constructive feedback where appropriate.
- Ability to innovate, analyse, identify and resolve issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- High level written and oral communication skills to enable effective interaction with individuals and groups, and well-developed negotiation skills.
Mandatory Requirements
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine-preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16.
- Proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association within Australia (AHPRA). Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to commencing clinical duties.
