About the Project:
The Scotia Project is located in Norseman in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia, approximately 725km east of Perth, 200 km south of Kalgoorlie, and 200 km north of Esperance. Redpath have commenced a 3-year development contract with rapid expansion over the next 6 months. The Scotia Project has great camp facilities based in the main street of Norseman approximately 25 minutes from site.
The Opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced Shift Supervisor to join our team at our Scotia project. The position is full time and long-term with full job security, holidays and sick leave accrued. You will receive ongoing support and training and enjoy the following benefits:

Responsibilities
The role involves
- Plan tasks for the shift in conjunction with the Underground Manager, Superintendent,
HSEC Manager and Maintenance Manager;
- Allocate machinery, work areas and tasks to shift employees;
- Direct and supervise workers employed on the Project;
- Closely supervise employees ensuring that work is being carried out in accordance with SWI's and as per instruction on mine plans;
- complete shift reports and timesheets;
- Liaise with the Operations Manager, Underground Manager, Superintendents, HSEC Manager and Maintenance Manager on issues affecting the workplace and/or work progress;
- Set an example for all employees to follow and implement the concepts of quality, workplace, healthy and safety;
- Discuss the quality, environmental, health and safety aspects of all operations with their employees and ensure that they understand that these issues are important to protect themselves, the environment and Redpath;
- Assist and lead where appropriate in the investigation of all accidents/incidents to determine causes and corrective action needed to prevent a recurrence;
- A positive work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto, Consider it done — safely.
Qualifications
Candidate Requirements:
- Underground Shift Supervisors – must hold Communicate workplace information certificates (formerly S1, S2 & S3)
- current G1 Safety Induction - Metalliferous Core & Underground
- Underground hardrock mining experience & appropriate tickets/licences in the relevant position they are applying for
- Valid manual drivers licence
- A work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto Consider it done — safely.
