Job Summary
As a Demi Chef, you will work closely with the Chef de Partie and the rest of the kitchen team to prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standards. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for food, a willingness to learn, and the drive to develop their culinary career.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Chef de Partie in preparing and cooking dishes for service.
- Ensure all meals are produced to a consistent high quality.
- Support with mise en place and daily prep tasks.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and follow strict food safety standards.
- Work effectively as part of a team in a busy kitchen workplace.
- Take direction from senior chefs and develop culinary skills on the job.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef or similar role (1+ years preferred).
- Basic understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, team player, and willingness to learn.
Desirable Qualifications
- Culinary diploma or relevant certification.
