Key Responsibilities:
Participant Support & Coordination
Oversee and coordinate person-centred supports for all participants in the SIL home.
Ensure support plans, behaviour plans, medical needs, and NDIS goals are consistently followed.
Respond promptly to participant needs, incidents, and behavioural escalations.
Support participants in building independent living skills and community engagement.
Staff Management & Leadership
Lead, supervise, and support all staff working within the SIL home.
Monitor staff performance, ensure compliance with support plans, and provide coaching or corrective action when needed.
Coordinate rosters and ensure adequate staffing levels at all times.
Conduct regular team meetings, handovers, and staff check-ins.
Support staff with incident reporting, documentation expectations, and escalation processes.
Promote a positive team culture focused on safety, professionalism, and participant wellbeing.
Compliance, Documentation & Reporting
Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and on time, including daily notes, incident reports, medication records,
and progress updates.
Maintain compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, safeguarding requirements, and organisational policies.
Update risk assessments, participant profiles, and support plans when changes occur.
Operations & Home Management
Oversee the smooth running of the home, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and maintenance tasks are completed.
Coordinate appointments, community access, and participant schedules.
Manage petty cash, participant funds (if applicable), and household resources.
Communication & Stakeholder Collaboration
Act as the main point of contact for families, guardians, therapists, and external stakeholders.
Participate in case meetings, behaviour support reviews, and NDIS planning meetings.
Provide management with regular updates on participant progress, risks, staffing issues, and home operations.
Job Types: Subcontract, Casual
Pay: $37.00 – $41.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 38 per week
