This role leads a small team and play a key role in shaping how we use workforce data and insights to inform strategic decision-making. The team acts as the project management office for the APS Employee Census and Strategic Workforce Plan (SWP) delivery, provides twice-yearly updates on Treasury's Workforce Intelligence, and leads delivery of the Treasury Location Plan and other SWP initiatives.
You'll work closely with colleagues across People and Organisational Strategy Branch and the broader department to deliver high-quality workforce reporting, support strategic workforce planning, and contribute to initiatives that strengthen Treasury's workforce management.
We're after someone who is both people and data-savvy. You'll enjoy working collaboratively, mentoring others, and getting into the detail when needed. You'll be comfortable navigating ambiguity, and you'll bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to your work.
The key duties of the position include
We're particularly interested in people who have experience:
Leading or contributing to workforce analytics, reporting, or planning activities.
Using data to tell compelling stories and support strategic decision-making.
Managing and improving data quality, particularly in HR systems.
Preparing clear, concise, and insightful briefs and communications.
Coaching and supporting team members to grow their capability and confidence.
Experience with PowerBI, Aurion, or project management is desirable.
