Lead structural design and analysis of mass timber buildings from concept through construction.
Apply a deep understanding of engineering principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problems.
Produce designs, documentation, specifications, fee proposals, reports and other documentation to meet client requirements for projects of reasonable complexity.
Preparation of client reports.
Project management and compliance
Assume responsibility for the management of small to medium projects including duties such as pricing, tender submissions, technical documentation, project scheduling and meeting deadlines and budgets.
Ensure compliance with applicable Codes and policies– e.g. WHS practices and Quality Assurance.
Check less senior structural engineers’ work and provide technical guidance.
Who are we looking for
This role is ideally suited to someone with:
Member of Engineers Australia, CPEng/NER
At least 5 years’ experience in an engineering role
Software: Etabs, Spacegass, RAM, RAPT
Demonstrated experience in mass timber design and delivery
Ability to prioritise incoming work appropriately
Excellent attention to detail
Skilled level of written and verbal communication skills
Problem solving/analytical skills
