Swim Instructors / Duty Officers - Local Council
Maxima's client, one of Southeast Queensland's largest Local Councils, is seeking several qualified and experienced Learn to Swim Program Instructors and Duty Officers for the upcoming season.
We're seeking instructors who are available to work adaptable schedule spread out over 7 days with approx. 15 hours weekly.
You will earn $39 per hour + super.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct Learn to Swim classes for various fitness, skill and age levels
Ensure swimming classes are conducted in accordance with industry guidelines and following program and procedures
Undertake general cleaning and maintenance of facilities and equipment as required
Ensure required equipment is available for class set up and prepared for classes to begin on time
Collect and store equipment appropriately after classes
Contribute to the co-ordination and programming of swimming classes for all age groups and abilities
Provide education on swimming and water safety to students and parents
To Be Successful
Minimum 12 months learn to swim teaching experience preferred
Aust Swim or Swim Australia accreditation
First Aid certificate - current
CPR certificate - current
Blue Card
Current driver’s license
Pool lifeguard accreditation
Ability to communicate with a variety of age groups
Excellent customer service skills
