APS 4 Communications Officer

Randstad is partnered with a reputable Government department to recruit a dedicated APS4 Communications Officer to support a key campaign within a Federal Government department. This role is essential for the development and delivery of the third phase of a significant public awareness campaign.

Job Details
Hybrid location: ACT (Canberra)
Contract duration: 6 months
Rate: $46 - $50 per hour + super

Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and edit communication materials across various channels, ensuring proficiency in plain English and adherence to government style.
Maintain consistency and accuracy of all communication materials, aligning them with overall campaign objectives.
Apply knowledge of the government campaign process to support campaign development, utilising solid organisational skills, time management, and accountability.
Support the campaign administration, coordinating publication of materials, assisting with procurement processes, and maintaining budget and campaign files.
Assist in stakeholder management, communicating professionally with suppliers and participating in relevant meetings.

Minimum Requirements




Relevant experience and/or qualifications in a communications role.
Proven written and verbal communication skills, including capacity for proofreading, plain English writing, and using government style.
A solid understanding of the government campaign process.
Demonstrated organisational skills and experience in supporting the administration of communication campaigns.
The ability to form cooperative working relationships within a small team and with internal and external stakeholders.
Minimum of a baseline security clearance (advantageous).
