RETAIL ASSISTANT (CASUAL) – IGA Supermarket
Hamilton Island is seeking an energetic and customer-focused Retail Assistant to join our friendly IGA supermarket / Bottle shop team. Located in the vibrant Marina Village, the IGA is a key part of island life, providing residents and guests with fresh produce, quality groceries, alcohol and everyday essentials.

Your Role
As a Retail Assistant, you’ll ensure the store remains well-stocked, clean, and inviting, while delivering fast and friendly customer service. You’ll rotate across several key areas of the supermarket – including cashier, deli, dairy, grocery, and replenishment.
Where You’ll Make an Impact
Serve customers efficiently at the registers and assist with enquiries.
Maintain clean, organised, and well-stocked shelves and displays.
Rotate across departments to support overall store operations.
Uphold store presentation standards and contribute to a great team environment.
What We’re Looking For
You’re reliable, friendly, and hardworking, with a natural flair for customer service. You enjoy being part of a team and are comfortable in a fast-paced retail setting.
2 x Casual Retail Assistants
(You would need to have your own accommodation on island, or commuting from the mainland)
To Be Successful, You Will Need :
Experience in a supermarket or retail environment.
RSA is essential for Bottle shop role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A positive, can-do attitude and professional presentation.
Willingness to work a rotating day shift roster across various departments.
