About the Role
We are seeking a hands‑on and detail‑oriented Mechanical Assembler to join our team in Melbourne. You'll be assembling high‑quality food processing and packaging machinery, working from blueprints and specifications to deliver precision‑built equipment that meets industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble mechanical parts and systems using hand and power tools.
Operate production line equipment and metalworking machinery.
Fit and align components using fixtures and tools.
Mount and connect mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Drill, tap, and ream holes; remove small quantities of metal for precision fitting.
Install moving parts and test for free movement.
Assist in testing and commissioning of completed products.
Maintain a clean and safe work workplace.
What We're Looking For
Trade qualification in Mechanical Assembly or Fitting.
1‑2 years' experience in mechanical assembly (preferred).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work orders.
Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
Positive communication and teamwork abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Bilingual English proficiency (written and verbal) is a plus.
