An exceptional, newly created trading support position has become available in direct support of a Trading team focussed on ETF’s. This position would suit an experienced operations, trade support or middle office qualified who has experience with a global investment bank, fund manager or trading firm and is seeking to support a high-performing team of traders.
The ideal applicant would have at least 3 years’ experience within ETFs in a direct trade support, operations or trading desk support role. A good understanding of corporate actions would be highly regarded.
Responsibilities:
Act as liaison between desk traders and other dealers, brokers
Execute orders per the request of traders, Work with ETF traders, operations and external Prime Brokersto ensure trading system parity
Compile/reconcile data from electronic trades
Examine electronic transactions generated from clearing firm
Resolve erroneous and broken trades
Assist with maintaining position, P&L; and information exchange
Update and manage all post computer screens including exchange trading systems, proprietary trading applications, and excel spreadsheets
We are looking for high calibre people who possess the following competencies:
3 years previous experience in financial services industry and completion of finance/investment related course work a plus
Thorough knowledge of equities and ETFs, corporate actions, equity derivatives
Mandarin language skills would alsi be beneficial
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel
Ideally Python, VBA, SQL and advanced Excel skills.
Solid communication skills (verbal and written); ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
Detail oriented; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced workplace
Must be a self starter, a quick learner, and resourceful in solving problems
Ability to move throughout the trading floor as needed
