Horticulture Innovation Australia Limited (Hort Innovation) is the grower-owned, not-for-profit, Research & Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $16 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation annually invests $125 million in Research & Development (R&D;) and Marketing programs funded by levies, Australian Government R&D; co-investment funds and external co-investment.
The Constitution of Hort Innovation requires that in 2023, three (3) of its nine (9) Directors retire from the Board. Three (3) Director candidates are then to be elected to the Board at the 2023 Annual General Meeting, in November.
Applications are now being sought for the three (3) Director vacancies. Skills required by the Hort Innovation Board as a whole are set out in the Board Skills Matrix 2023.
In 2023, Director applicants must have experience in all three (3) essential skill areas :

Finance & Risk
Strategy & Business Management
