Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities – Mount Gravatt State High School
As the Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of Mount Gravatt State High School's facilities and grounds. You will perform a variety of routine tasks independently while receiving supervision for non‑routine duties. This role does not require tasks or repairs that would normally need a qualified tradesperson and reports directly to the Principal, Business Manager, or nominated delegate.

Key Responsibilities
Preparing and maintaining school facilities, including setting up classrooms and halls for activities and events.
Performing general groundskeeping tasks such as mowing, watering, planting, weeding, and maintaining sports fields and gardens.
Assisting with minor cleaning and waste collection duties, ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety standards.
Conducting basic maintenance and repairs to school furniture, equipment, and facilities.
Supporting school events, managing supplies, and maintaining accurate records of school assets.
About You
Experience in groundskeeping or facilities maintenance.
Ability to work independently and follow set instructions.
Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
Effective communication skills for liaising with staff, students, and external personnel.
