As a Chef Manager, you will lead kitchen operations, ensure compliance with food safety, WHS and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement in meal quality and service excellence.
Responsibilities
Manage compliance related to food safety, WHS and quality.
Passion for providing high quality nutritious meals.
Lead and motivate the team, and participate in recruitment and training of staff.
Control stock and ordering.
Manage resident dietary needs.
Control kitchen and food costs.
Produce and deliver high‑quality meals.
Ensure service excellence across the dining experience.
Communicate with residents and families and document dietary needs.
Provide management and guidance to kitchen staff, ensuring smooth operation.
Qualifications
Experience within aged care preferred, or broad catering experience from commercial high‑volume catering.
Understanding of food cost management.
Proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Chef qualifications and experience and understanding of special dietary needs.
Solid personal presentation and grooming skills.
Knowledge of food safety legislation.
