About This Chance Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Manager is responsible for the overall management and performance of the full production area. The focus of the role is to build a culture that has a strong Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence mindset driving towards achieving production KPIs.
Your Key Responsibilities
Champion a safety‑first culture
Lead and develop the production team, focusing on talent building of the mould change team and the production technicians
Ensure all products are made on time and to specification
Challenge established standards regarding productivity
Promote a culture of LEAN & Continuous Improvement towards world’s best practice
Model direct, respectful communication across the site
Ensure all ISO, HACCP and GMP standards and practices are achieved
Action weekly production plans with a focus on minimising waste and machine uptime
Work with the reliability manager to review machine setups and optimise product manufacture
Collaborate with the Supply Chain Team to optimise planning and scheduling, and to identify key issues that could affect customer delivery
Support the maintenance and logistics teams
Maintain a Continuous Improvement mindset to improve Safety, Productivity, Quality and Reliability
Your Skills And Experience
Previous experience in a manufacturing/production setting
Proven experience in Lean and Operational Excellence
Experience at a management level in a manufacturing environment that embraces continuous improvement
Solid problem‑solving and analytical skills
Ability to motivate, lead and supervise
Ability to coach and mentor
Leadership, influencing, negotiation, change management, conflict resolution, financial and computer literacy skills
