Senior Environmental Officer
Campbelltown City Council – Senior Environmental Officer – full-time, 35 hours per week.
About The Role
In this role you will assess compliance of development applications, review flora and fauna assessments, project manage environmental studies, undertake research and represent Council to developers, consultants and the public.
Key Responsibilities
Assess compliance of development applications, planning proposals and vegetation permits with State and Local policies.
Review flora and fauna assessments, biodiversity development assessment reports, aboricultural impact assessment, Koala assessment report, contamination and noise assessments.
Project manage the preparation of environmental studies, project and/or policies.
Undertake research on environmental planning and policy matters.
Deal effectively with people at all levels and represent Council capably to developers, consultants, other government agencies and the general public.
Qualifications and Experience
Degree in Environmental Management, Science or equivalent.
Post Graduate qualifications or experience in Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering,
Accredited BAM Assessor or capability to achieve accreditation.
Demonstrated experience in reviewing relevant environmental reports relating to Planning Proposals and Development Applications.
Experience in applying relevant local, state and federal legislation.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.

Salary range $110,910 – $120,054 per year plus 12% super.
