Freelance Data Engineer at Twine
This remote contract role offers an opportunity to play a key part in building and optimizing scalable data pipelines and services on the Azure platform. The position focuses on integrating data from diverse sources, enhancing data performance, and supporting analytics and AI-driven initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate with a global team to deliver robust data solutions that drive business insights and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and related Azure services
Integrate and transform data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality and consistency
Develop and optimize ETL processes and data models to support analytics and machine learning workflows
Implement and manage CI / CD pipelines and version control for data engineering projects
Collaborate with analytics, engineering, and business teams to deliver data solutions that meet project requirements
Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance data pipeline performance and reliability
Support the deployment and maintenance of data services in a cloud setting
Skills And Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering roles
Advanced proficiency in SQL,
PostgreSQL, and Python
Strong hands‑on experience with Azure Data Factory and related Azure data services
Proven expertise in API development, data validation, and data modeling
Experience developing and maintaining ETL pipelines in cloud environments
Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git)
Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, or machine learning data pipelines is a plus
Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently in a fully remote, global team setting
Solid communication and collaboration skills
