Plant Engineering Manager - $180k + Super My client, a leading food manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Plant Engineer to join their team. This is a senior leadership role that will oversee all aspects of engineering, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
Base Pay Range A$160,000.00/yr - A$180,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Provide robust leadership
as a member of the Senior Management Team, working closely with the Plant Manager, General Manager Operations, and other key stakeholders.
Oversee the Maintenance team and ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with company policies, standards, and processes.
Develop and implement a Plant Maintenance Strategy to optimise plant efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Conduct feasibility studies on plant replacement and upgrades as needed.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including health, safety, and environmental standards.
Develop and manage budgets, including annual Capital Expenditure and Maintenance budgets.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives and implement strategies to minimise plant downtime.

Key Requirements
Trade qualified with a mechanical or electrical trade background.
Highly desirable lean manufacturing experience, with Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
Proven experience in team leadership and management, preferably in a food manufacturing setting.
Robust project management skills, with the ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with budgeting, CAPEX, and plant design.
Familiarity with MS Office, CAD, and MEX systems.
Key Metrics and Performance Expectations
Indirectly manage a team of approximately 30 trade, planning, and services team members.
Achieve 100% compliance with safety and quality expectations.
Ensure accurate and reliable data recording for asset analysis (>90%).
Meet trade workmanship standards and completion rates (>90%).
