THE ROLE
We are looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to join our Head Office team and support site operations as required. In this role you will act as a conduit between site-based and head office personnel, providing guidance, mentoring and driving safety compliance across all projects.
Provide guidance and mentoring to our site-based Safety Advisors on shutdowns, maintenance and project works.
Establish, implement and regularly review Site Safety Advisor initiative programs and KPIs.
Provide guidance to Senior Leadership and others on Health and Safety Management Plans.
Support the Health and Safety Manager in developing and implementing Health and Safety strategies.
Conduct incident investigations, identify root causes and develop preventive actions.
Maintain Linkforce Health & Safety Management Systems.
Report non-conformances for continuous improvement opportunities.
Compile Health and Safety End of Month reporting.
Build and maintain relationships with employees and clients.
Drive Health and Safety compliance throughout all aspects of the business.
Regular site travel to support Linkforce Operations.
ABOUT YOU
Relevant tertiary WHS qualification.
Minimum 3 years of demonstrated operational Health and Safety experience in a high‑risk industry.
ICAM Investigation Trained.
In‑depth knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations, Australian Standards and codes of practice.
Experience maintaining Health and Safety Management systems, processes and procedures.
Proficiency in Level 2 risk assessments.
Solid written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
Excellent document and record management skills.
Inductions with Rio, FMG, Roy Hill, BHP, Newmont or Goldfields are advantageous
