About the role
As our Parkes Assistant Site Manager, you will report to the Site Manager and work alongside a team of permanent Grain Handlers that together deliver a protected and effective service in the reception, storage and outload of grain via road and rail.
In addition to undertaking a wide range of grain handling activities that are core to our operation, you will:
Coordinate day-to-day workflow of the team and support to attract, select, train, and develop permanent and casual team members
Develop and maintain relationships with growers, customers, local community groups and internal stakeholders
Support the resource planning for grain receival / outload activity during peak and off-peak periods
Support the planning and execution of scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance,
grain protection, safety and quality activities and related reporting
Supervise a large seasonal workforce during our busy harvest intake periods, including at multiple sites.
About your experience
Our ideal candidate has plant operations experience gained in any industry, a solid safety mindset, and a genuine desire to make a positive contribution to the thriving agricommodities industry. You should also have:
Some experience in supervising teams (or the potential to)
Positive communication skills, time management and IT literacy
Capability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
