We’re looking for a motivated Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team on a 6-month fixed‑term contract based at our Melbourne Head Office.

This is a outstanding opportunity to step into a high‑performing, supportive Finance function and gain experience in a large, fast‑paced organisation.

As our Accounts Payable Officer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely processing of supplier invoices and payments across the AVC Group throughout this 6‑month contract period.

What You’ll Be Doing
Processing supplier invoices through our AP invoicing system and ERP
Troubleshooting and resolving issues arising from the scan/capture system
Preparing regular supplier reconciliations, particularly for high-volume vendors
Responding to queries and payment requests from internal and external stakeholders
Preparing EFT payment runs on a bi‑weekly basis
Supporting the Accounts Payable Manager with ad‑hoc AP tasks

What We’re Looking For




Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Accounts Payable or similar role
Robust understanding of AP systems, processes and high-volume processing
Advanced MS Excel skills and strong overall Microsoft Suite competency
High level of accuracy, attention to detail and organisational skills
Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage a busy inbox
A proactive, positive attitude and confidence to make decisions
Qualifications in Business, Commerce or Finance (desired but not essential)
