Manager, Youth Engagement - Darling Downs South West Region We are seeking an experienced and proven leader with a background in coordinating and leading youth engagement initiatives and strategies. The Manager will report, monitor, and collate data to inform practice, improve outcomes for disengaged children and families, and provide expert advice and support to senior leadership on related strategies, policies and guidelines to support young people learning or earning.
The role also requires demonstrated leadership in providing direction, management, and performance development for team members.
About Us The Student Child and Family Connect team is critical in maximising days of learning for children and young people (K‑12), with or without active enrolments, where complex vulnerabilities require multi‑agency support to engage in continuous schooling.
Responsibilities
Provide high‑level strategic advice to senior officers and other key stakeholders on issues relevant to the specific accountabilities of the role.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, collaborating across schools, settings,
agencies and organisations to implement strategies that ensure effective implementation of Early Childhood and State Schools Division priorities for all students in state schools.
Contribute as a member of the senior management team to setting and coordinating the strategic direction and activities ensuring the effectiveness of youth engagement within the department's priorities.
Coordinate and contribute to the strategic direction and activities as defined in priorities set by senior management.
