Sterilisation Technician
North Metropolitan Health Service – Permanent Full‑time position (4 FTE, 80 hours fortnight)
Overview
This role undertakes sterilisation duties to achieve cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation of reusable medical devices and surgical instruments/equipment for theatres, wards and various departments at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in accordance with the Australian Sterilisation Standards, Hospital Infection Control and department Policy and Procedures.
Responsibilities
Perform sterilisation tasks in line with standards and procedures.
Maintain clean equipment and facilities.
Document and report sterilisation outcomes.
Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure effective instrument turnover.
Support a culture of Care, Respect, Innovation, Teamwork and Integrity.
Eligibility & Requirements
Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
Proof of right to work in Australia.
Criminal record screening, integrity check,
working‑with‑children check if required, pre‑employment health assessment.
Professional references (two referees, preferably current supervisor).
