Role Description
This is an in office casual Chef role located in Newcastle, NSW.
The Chef will oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating high-quality meals.
Responsibilities include menu planning, maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, managing inventory, and ensuring a clean and organized kitchen setting.
The Chef will also collaborate with the team to deliver an exceptional dining experience that aligns with ALH's commitment to creating memorable guest moments.
Core Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals to the highest standards.
Plan and design menus that meet nutrition and dietary needs.
Maintain food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene.
Manage inventory and order supplies efficiently.
Lead and collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
Ensure a clean, safe, and organized kitchen setting.
Qualifications
Proven culinary skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Experience in menu planning with an understanding of nutrition and dietary requirements.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and ability to maintain a clean kitchen.
Strong team collaboration, leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
Passion for delivering top-tier hospitality and creating exceptional dining experiences.
Formal culinary training or equivalent experience in a commercial kitchen is a plus.
