HVAC Field Service Engineer
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Field Service Engineer to provide in office, field-based technical support for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, troubleshooting, and delivering excellent service directly to clients across multiple locations.
Our client has offices across Australia, providing opportunities to work in different locations and be part of a nationwide team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems at client sites
Diagnose and resolve system faults efficiently to minimise downtime
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
Provide technical guidance to clients on system operation and maintenance
Plan and manage your own service schedule and travel between locations
Maintain accurate service records and documentation
Ensure all work meets relevant safety standards and regulations
Skills & Experience
2–5 years’ experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, or field service
Strong practical skills with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
Proven fault‑finding and troubleshooting ability
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently, manage multiple jobs, and adapt to changing schedules
Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly
Experience with test & tag procedures
Desirable: Formal qualifications in HVAC, air conditioning, or refrigeration (e.g., Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration) and/or an Electrical Licence.
