Are you a driven Tax Analyst seeking to step into a high-performing corporate tax team within the banking sector? Our client, a major Australian financial institution, is looking for a motivated and technically solid tax professional to join their Group Tax function.
This role is perfect for a Chartered Accountant (Big 4 or mid-tier) seeking their first move into industry, or an early-career tax professional wanting to broaden their exposure to corporate tax advisory, compliance, and stakeholder engagement across a sophisticated banking environment.
About the Role
Support the preparation and review of corporate income tax returns and tax effect accounting calculations.
Assist in managing tax reporting obligations across the Group.
Work closely with senior tax leaders on advisory matters, including transactions, restructuring, and tax risk management.
Partner with finance, treasury, legal,
and external advisors to ensure accurate and timely tax outcomes.
Contribute to process improvement and strengthening of internal tax governance.
About You
CA qualified or near completion (Big 4 or mid-tier chartered experience highly regarded).
5+ years’ experience in corporate tax or business services with strong tax exposure.
Robust technical grounding in Australian tax legislation and tax accounting standards.
Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
A proactive mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced, complex environment.
