About the Role

As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to lead daily kitchen operations, maintain high culinary standards, and support a well-structured, motivated team. You will play a key role in menu execution, food quality, team direction, and ensuring the smooth running of service.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen management and service operations

- Lead, mentor, and inspire kitchen staff to uphold high standards

- Ensure consistent delivery of quality dishes during busy services

- Assist with menu planning, specials, and seasonal updates

- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards

- Oversee stock management, ordering, and cost control

- Help maintain a positive, organised, and collaborative kitchen environment

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or solid Senior Chef de Partie ready to step up

- Proven ability to thrive in a high-volume venue

- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills

- Passion for fresh, quality produce and well-executed pub/bistro-style cuisine

- Reliability, professionalism, and a hands-on work ethic





- Ability to work flexible hospitality hours, including weekends

- Australian working rights required - no sponsorship available
