Medical Secretary – Full Time | Coastal Orthopaedics North Gosford
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm
Location: North Gosford, NSW
Hourly Rate: $28–$32 per hour (depending on experience)
Coastal Orthopaedics North Gosford is a well-established and fast-paced specialist practice seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and patient-focused Medical Secretary to join our team. This is mainly a phone-based, full-time role ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys helping patients navigate their care. Role starting January 2026.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for our practice, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient service and ensuring smooth daily operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a high volume of incoming calls
- Booking appointments and coordinating patient schedules
- Triaging referrals and ensuring timely follow-up
- Handling patient enquiries with clarity and empathy
- Explaining surgery quotes and assisting with related questions
- Maintaining accurate patient records and completing administrative tasks
- Daily use of Blue Chip and Medical Director software
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to five days per week
- Enthusiastic, keen to learn, and happy working in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Professional with an excellent phone manner
- Confident multitasking and managing competing priorities
- Detail-oriented with solid organisational skills
- Experienced in medical administration (preferred but not essential)
- Familiar with Blue Chip and Medical Director (highly regarded)
