About this opportunity:
Join Mackay Regional Council as a Strategic People Partner – Engagement, Equity & Inclusion and play a pivotal role in shaping a positive, inclusive workplace culture. This position focuses on delivering innovative organisational development initiatives that enhance employee engagement and promote equity and inclusion across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic advice to build organisational capability and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Designing and implementing frameworks to improve organisational performance and engagement.
- Leading initiatives that embed diversity, equity, and inclusion principles into Council’s operations.
- Partnering with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver impactful programs.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in workforce analytics, including forecasting and scenario planning.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Proficiency in data tools such as Power BI, Excel, SQL, and HRIS systems.
- Strong understanding of workforce planning frameworks and external labour market analysis.

- Base annual salary of $ 91,166.17
