This is an excellent opportunity for an intermediate accountant looking to broaden their experience in a supportive and professional environment.
Your new role
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns, business activity statements, fringe benefit returns, TPAR statements, STP finalisation statements, and annual Workcover remuneration reconciliations across a variety of entities
- Group tax planning activities
- Administration and compliance preparation for Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs)
- Supporting clients with a range of accounting and advisory services
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Degree qualifications in Accounting
- CPA or CA qualification (or currently enrolled)
- Demonstrated experience in preparing financial statements, tax returns, BAS, and SMSF compliance
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Professional presentation and strong client service abilities
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team
- Experience in direct client contact
Systems knowledge
Exposure to the following systems will be highly regarded:
- BGL CAS360 & SimpleFund360
- Xero (including Practice Manager)
- Intuit QuickBooks
- Adobe Acrobat
- Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Mac OS (experience not essential)
