People & Culture Advisor (12 Months Max Term)
We’re looking for an experienced People & Culture Advisor to partner with operational leaders and deliver practical, timely people solutions that help the business scale. You’ll be the go‑to adviser for operational people matters, case management and cyclical P&C; programs – using strong stakeholder relationships, people data and effective communication to drive fair outcomes and better decisions.
Responsibilities
- Build trusted relationships with client groups to advise on operational people matters and deliver cyclical P&C; initiatives.
- Manage minor to moderate people cases – performance management, investigations and employee relations – in a timely, consistent and risk‑aware way.
- Identify leadership capability gaps and people trends, propose practical solutions and escalated where required.
- Provide coaching and counsel on talent management, employee relations, performance, development and organisational change.
- Support the P&C; Manager to design and implement initiatives focused on scaling for growth, culture, recognition and retention.
- Collaborate with P&C; Centres of Excellence to deliver commercially viable, policy‑aligned people solutions.
- Help create a culture of learning with clear pathways for career progression.
- Use people data to inform recommendations and proactive interventions.
- Advise on functional recruitment processes, success profiles and salary benchmarking, award and remuneration reviews.
- Maintain accurate Workday records – people moves, title changes and leave entries.
Qualifications
- 2+ years as an HR/P&C; generalist or advisor,
ideally in operations or warehousing environments.
- Solid stakeholder management skills, able to influence at all levels including senior leadership.
- Proven experience managing performance processes, investigations and disciplinary matters.
- A passion for operations and employee/industrial relations.
- Proficient with Workday (or similar HRIS) and confident using data to shape decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to facilitate workshops and influence discussions.
- Practical and commercial mindset – balance policy, people and commercial priorities to deliver pragmatic solutions.
- Degree in HR or related field; HR certification (e.g., CIPD/ACCP) desirable.
