Position Summary
- Provide support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plan.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing and grooming.
- Provide transportation assistance to clients.
- Provide respite care to clients and their families.
- Keep accurate and up to date records of clients' care plans and progress.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure the safety and well‑being of clients.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field.
Requirements
- Female, aged 30 and up, as required by the client.
- Previous experience working with mental health and behaviours or willingness to work with one.
- A minimum of high school education or equivalent.
- Certificate 3 or 4 in individual support,
or willingness to work towards completion (highly regarded).
- Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disability.
- Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work with a diverse client base, understanding the different support needs of clients based on their abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
- Basic care and first aid skills.
- Robust computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
