Job Description
Point Care is a dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities.
Position Summary:
- provide support to clients in accordance withtheir NDIS plan.
- Assistclients with daily living activities, such as eating,dressing, bathing and grooming.
- Provide transportation assistance to clients.
- Provide respite care to clients and theirfamilies.
- Keep accurate andup to date records or clients' care plans andprogress.
- Communicateeffectively with clients, their families, and other membersof the care team.
- Followhealth and safety regulations to ensure the safety andwell-being of clients.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to staycurrent with latest developments and best practices in the NDISfield.
Requirements
- Female (aged 30 and up) as required by the client.
- Previous experience working with mental health and behaviours or willing to work with one
- A minimum of high school or equivalent.
- Certificate 3 or 4 in individual support or willing to work towards completion(highly regarded).
- Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disability
- Solid understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work with a diverse client base, understanding the different support needs of clients based on their abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
- Basic care and first aid skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in microsoft office suite.
- Access toongoing training and development opportunities.
