Our client is a leading innovator in manufacturing and distributing long steel products. They are Australia's only fully vertically integrated steel manufacturing utilising scrap metal recycling and downstream distribution.
Our client is a leading provider in the steel reinforcing industry, known for reliability, safety, and operational excellence. They are seeking a proactive and organised Despatch Co-ordinator to oversee daily despatch operations, manage delivery schedules, and support smooth communication between production, drivers, and customers.
Early start + early finish: 4:00am-12:20pm
Key responsibilities:
This is an all-rounder role assisting with daily operations within the warehouse. Other tasks may include:
- Coordinate and schedule all outgoing deliveries
- Prepare and manage despatch documentation and manifests
- Communicate with drivers, transport teams, and internal departments
- Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Monitor production outputs and align loads with customer deadlines
- Ensure safety, compliance, and strong teamwork within the despatch area
- Support daily problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
Essential Criteria
- Previous experience in despatch operations (manufacturing, logistics, or similar)
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- High standard of teamwork, communication, and professionalism
- Resilience and composure in demanding, time-sensitive environments
- Ability to start early and manage high-volume workflows
- PPE-ready: long pants & steel cap boots
- No forklift licence required
