About the role
This position is a fixed-term, full-time role until Friday 8 January 2027, within the Development and Compliance team at Council’s Moruya Administration Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and responding to environmental, public health, and infrastructure impacts through an integrated education and compliance approach. This includes ensuring statutory requirements and Council standards are met, with a primary focus on delivering Council’s Food Inspection Program.
The starting salary for this position is $84,580.30 per annum plus 12% superannuation.

About you
If you are an experienced Environmental Health professional who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment, we would love to hear from you. To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:
- A Bachelor of Applied Science (Environmental Health), Food Auditing qualifications, or equivalent qualifications and/or experience.
- Advanced knowledge of food legislation and relevant building, health, and environmental standards.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing public health and environmental monitoring programs.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to listen, interpret, and convey information clearly, combined with effective negotiation and mediation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with GIS and financial systems.
