Location: We want to recruit the best people to our department. The opportunity we have available The Financial Assurance team is responsible for supporting the ongoing financial management and performance of DITRDCSA and plays a critical role in ensuring the department is compliant with Finance Law (which includes the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability (PGPA) Act 2013, PGPA Rule Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles), Accountable Authority Instructions, Accountable Authority Delegations and Travel and Credit Card requirements.
The vacant positions provide applicants with an opportunity to acquire and/or develop an understanding of the core functions of the department from the Financial Management Branch perspective and is an opportunity to further expand their skill set within the Australian Public Service (APS).
What will you do?
Providing advice and support to the department relating to the Financial Governance Framework.
Managing the departments financial compliance and assurance program which includes the identification and internal lodgement of financial non‑compliance, administration of the departments digital compliance platform (Lighthouse) and delivering the annual Management Assurance Certificate and Resource Management Letter surveys.
Preparing routine and specialised internal communications to staff on a range of topics to support financial compliance.
Responding to queries via a dedicated mailbox, maintaining key corporate guidance documentation and the preparation of senate estimates briefs.
Assist in the preparation of routine quarterly reporting which may include basic data analytics.
Where appropriate, assist in developing,
coordinating and facilitating financial literacy offerings for the department, which may include training courses, guidance materials and intranet resources.

Eligibility requirements
Citizenship :
candidates must be an Australian citizen at the time of submitting your application.
Health Assessment : The preferred candidate may be required to undergo a medical examination conducted by the department's preferred medical provider.
Security Clearance : The successful candidate must be able to obtain and/or maintain a security clearance at the baseline clearance level. You must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information. You must have lived in Australia, or have a checkable background, for at least the preceding five years for Baseline Vetting clearances. Police check : The successful candidate must satisfactory complete an Australian Federal Police criminal history check.
Integrity and Performance check : The successful candidate must satisfy the requirements in an Integrity and Performance check which is completed by your most recent employer.
