Scaffold Supervisor

KAEFER Integrated Services is currently recruiting an experienced Scaffold Supervisor to join our team at a flagship gold and copper operation located in Orange, NSW. - Location: Must be local to the Orange region (within 1 hour’s drive)

Who We’re Looking For
As the Scaffold Supervisor, you will lead a high-performing scaffolding team and ensure all scaffolding activities across site are planned, executed safely, efficiently, and in line with KAEFER standards, including client requirements, and WHS legislation.. You will play a key role in daily planning, coordination, and compliance across maintenance and construction scopes.
This is a hands-on leadership role involving daily coordination, risk/safety management, inspections, client engagement, and quality oversight across maintenance and project scopes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, mentor, and coordinate a team of scaffolders across maintenance, Shutdown and Project Scopes
- Ensure all scaffolding operations comply with WHS, Australian Standards and KAEFER procedures Plan and coordinate daily work schedules, job allocations, and resourcing requirements
- Oversee the delivery, installation, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures
- Conduct daily site and safety inspections, identifying and addressing hazards or compliance issues
- Monitor scaffolding equipment and consumables; manage stock levels and requisitions
- Ensure correct scaffold tagging, handover certificates, and compliance documentation
· Review, interpret and communicate scaffolding plans, drawings, and engineered designs
- Monitor scaffold equipment, consumables, and manage requisitions and stock levels, Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth, timely project delivery
· Contribute to estimating and job planning by assessing scope, materials, and labour requirements
· Maintain accurate records including JHAs, SWMS, inspection sheets and daily progress reports
· Coach and support developing scaffolders, encouraging a strong safety and performance culture
· Drive continuous improvement across safety, efficiency and quality
- - Uphold KAEFER’s safety culture and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Scaffold Supervisor or leading scaffolder role within mining, construction, or heavy industry
- Strong Technical knowledge of scaffolding systems, design concepts,
safe erection/dismantling principles and WHS requirements
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor and guide a diverse team
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, work instructions and engineering requirements
- Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Confidence liaising with clients and subcontractors
- A strong work ethic, safety-first mindset, and commitment to quality workmanship with a proactive attitude
Required Licences & Qualifications
- Current High Risk Work Licence – Scaffolding (Advanced preferred)
- White Card
- Demonstrated scaffolding experience in mining or similar heavy industry
- Valid driver’s licence
- Ability to pass site medicals & compliance requirements
