Mental Health Support Worker – Wellways

Casual ongoing prospect based at Newcastle, NSW $47.16 per hour (SCHADS Level 2B) + Super + Leave loading + salary packaging. Inclusive Organisation | Be the difference in a young person’s life.

At Wellways, we believe every young person deserves the chance to thrive no matter the challenges they face. Through the Youth Community Living Support Services (YCLSS) program, you will support young people aged 15–24 experiencing serious mental health challenges to build confidence, independence and hope for the future.

As part of the team you will also:

- Keep accurate and timely records to ensure high‑quality support
- Be guided by Wellways’ Well Together Model and Recovery Frameworks
- Travel across the region, with some overnight stays as required

What you need:





- Completion of the Certificate 4 in Mental Health, Certificate 4 in Mental Health Peer Work or Certificate 4 in Community Services, or equivalent practical experience working in a mental health role.
- Rights to work in Australia and a current and valid Driver’s Licence
- Satisfactory Police Records Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check
- NDIS Workers Orientation “Quality Safety and You” – free online course
