About The Role
We are seeking experienced Truck Drivers to work collaboratively to deliver high‑quality environmental solutions and results at Pembroke Resource’s autonomous project in the Bowen Basin – the Olive Downs Complex. The project, located 40 kilometres south‑east of Moranbah, commenced mining operations in mid‑2023. Thiess was awarded a five‑year contract to deliver full‑service mining operations, including mine planning, overburden removal, drill & blast, load & haul, water management, rehabilitation, and the construction of mine infrastructure.
As part of a team focused on a strong performance culture, you will report to the Mining Superintendent and work a 7 days on, 7 days off, day/night roster. Your duties will include:
- Operating machinery efficiently, safely, and competently to ensure maximum output
- Complying with Thiess’ policies and procedures
- Operating, driving and moving material as directed to prepare operating areas and roads
- Minimising dilution and achieving design parameters within acceptable tolerances
- Maintaining stockpiles, dumps and haul roads to ensure flow in a safe and efficient manner
- Setting and maintaining high housekeeping standards
- Carrying out pre‑start checks
About You
As the successful applicant, you’ll be a high‑achieving, team‑focused individual who enjoys delivering results in a energetic environment. Your exceptional relationship‑building skills and ability to engage and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders will also ensure your success in this role.
- At least 12‑month mining experience as a mining production operator
- Equivalent to or specific experience operating Caterpillar 785 (C/D) dump trucks is essential
- Experience in hard‑rock mining operations desirable
- HR driver’s licence
