Family Day Care Queensland (FDCQ) is offering an exciting 12-month opportunity for an experienced and values-driven leader to help shape and strengthen the future of our Enhance Family Day Care and Enhance In Home Childcare services. This role provides the chance to contribute to meaningful sector growth as we refine our service model and continue to expand our impact across Queensland.
As the Enhance Manager, you will work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to explore current approaches, support service enhancement, and help implement initiatives that promote long-term sustainability, quality improvement and sector leadership. This position offers the opportunity to guide strategic development while supporting a positive evolution of our services. You will play an important role in shaping direction, reviewing performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and supporting regulatory compliance, all while helping to build a forward-thinking practice model. Your leadership will positively influence how FDCQ supports educators, families and children throughout Queensland.
Alongside this strategic focus, you will provide guidance and encouragement to a dedicated operational team. In this role, you will:
- Provide transparent communication and supportive coaching, with executive guidance available as needed
- Support recruitment, onboarding and capability development aligned with our evolving service direction
- Facilitate constructive performance planning and workforce development, including future talent planning
- Foster a positive team culture based on collaboration, accountability and continuous learning
- Strengthen team capability so they feel confident and supported during this period of organisational evolution
You will also represent FDCQ at senior sector forums, stakeholder engagements and government consultations, ensuring our service priorities and insights are clearly communicated and well supported.
To thrive in this role, you will bring:
- Strong leadership experience in early childhood education or a related sector
- A solid understanding of the National Quality Framework and regulatory requirements
- Skills in strategy, service development and positive organisational change
- Confidence in working with government, peak bodies and sector partners
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building strengths
- Financial, analytical and reporting capability supporting informed decision-making
- Experience leading teams through change and embedding improved ways of working
You will meet (or be eligible to meet) Nominated Supervisor requirements and hold a relevant tertiary qualification. A current Blue Card, Police Check, driver’s licence and capacity for statewide travel are required.
