About the Role
Based in South West Sydney this position reports directly to the General Manager and works closely with the Sales, Finance and Yard team.
The role is central to delivering exceptional customer service, managing enquiries, coordinating hire contracts, and using your knowledge of heavy machinery and equipment to provide the best solutions for each customer’s needs.
This is a varied and hands on role where no two days are the same combining customer service, administration, and practical branch support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service in person, over the phone, and via email to ensure a positive and qualified hire experience.
- Manage the full hire process from quoting and booking through to scheduling, dispatch, and equipment return.
- Accurately create, update, and finalise hire agreements and documentation in line with company procedures.
- Use your product knowledge to recommend suitable heavy machinery and complementary equipment to meet customer needs.
- Coordinate logistics and dispatch of machinery, ensuring on-time deliveries and collections within agreed timeframes.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, yard, and workshop teams to allocate tasks efficiently and maintain workflow.
- Maintain accurate records of bookings, customer details, and machine availability using branch systems and scheduling tools.
- Support daily branch operations, including equipment checks, cleaning, and assisting with loading/unloading machinery when required.
- Ensure compliance with safety, maintenance, and operational standards across all equipment and hire activities.
- Process payments and reconcile hire contracts promptly and accurately.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Previous customer service experience and a genuine desire to help others
- Strong time management and adaptability in a fast paced environment
- A team focused attitude and initiative to work independently when needed
- Experience in construction, or heavy machinery
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills in multidisciplinary environments
- Adaptable, proactive, and committed to delivering high quality outcomes
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
- A valid Driver’s Licence
