About the School

Cannington Community Education Support Centre is a level 5 school catering to over 120 secondary aged students from Years 7 to 12. Independence, achievement and respect are our core values, and our motto "Learning for Life" reflects our belief that learning occurs throughout life. We offer a specialised curriculum focused on Literacy, Numeracy, Personal and Social capabilities, and Vocational Education and Training (VET) to students with identified disabilities. Our school is a Positive Behaviour Support school and all staff are trained to manage student behaviour with dignity and care. The centre shares campus with Cannington Community College and Sevenoaks Senior College.

The Role

As a Program Coordinator, you will work closely with the Principal and the leadership team to provide educational leadership, build a positive and inclusive school culture, and promote the school's vision. You will coordinate differentiation of academic programs, manage student and staff wellbeing, pastoral care, attendance, positive behaviour support, engagement, and post‑school options. A deep understanding of disability, the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), behaviour support planning, Department of Education policies, and support systems such as Compass is highly beneficial.

Eligibility

- Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or holder of a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- Registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
- Valid Working With Children Check before starting.
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before starting.
