Mustard Seed Christian Childcare is a not-for-profit provider of early childhood education and care, looking to honour and serve Jesus. We partner with churches in the mission of spreading the good news of Jesus Christ by being an outreach ministry and also providing high quality childcare programs in a Christian environment. We run preschools, long day cares and outside of school hours care.
We are seeking a committed Christian educator to join our team. If you are passionate about nurturing children, supporting meaningful learning experiences, and contributing to a warm, faith-centred environment, we would love to hear from you. This role focuses on delivering education excellence, supporting program implementation, and contributing to Christian education and community engagement within our service.

Key Responsibilities
- Foster strong relationships with children, families, and staff in the centre in line with our Christian ethos
- Hold a current Working with Children Check before commencement of employment
- Collaborate within an experienced team to design, implement, and evaluate a child-centred curriculum that aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS)
- Work in a team that values relationships, open communication, and reflective collaboration, ensuring that the rights and voices of children remain central to everything we do
- Uphold and embed the principles of the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, ensuring compliance and excellence in every aspect of practice, from documentation and reflective planning to risk management and child safety
- Actively promote children’s wellbeing and safety in line with the NSW Child Safe Standards, our Child Protection Policies, and the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations
- Work in partnership with families, other professionals and the community to provide a high-quality educational program
About You
- A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Demonstrated experience working as an Educator in a preschool or long day care setting
- Solid knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
- Passionate about mentoring and inspiring educators to reach their full potential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills within a team
- Collaborate effectively with the educator team to meet goals and maintain high standards of care
- Hold permanent residency status in Australia
- Deep understanding of child development and ability to cater to the diverse needs of young learners
- Commitment to providing exceptional care
- Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management certifications, or willingness to obtain
- A valid Working with Children Check
