About The Role
We are offering a temporary six-month opportunity for a Corporate Risk Advisor, working within the Governance and Risk team to support the delivery of Council’s enterprise risk, internal audit, service review, insurance, business continuity, and emergency planning functions.
Role
Reporting to the Senior Corporate Risk Advisor, this role provides support across a diverse range of governance and organisational resilience activities. In this role, you will:
- Contribute to the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Council’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
- Provide administrative and technical support to the Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee (ARIC).
- Assist with internal audit activities, including project coordination, data analysis, reporting, and follow-up on agreed actions.
- Support Council’s insurance portfolio, including claims management, data analysis, liaison with insurers, and incident investigation support.

About You
As our ideal candidate, you’ll bring relevant qualifications or experience in risk, governance, or audit functions; ideally within a government or similar environment. Your strong attention to detail, collaborative approach and ability to engage with others will support you in succeeding in your new role.
