So, what’s a typical week look like?
Well, the idea of our job is to know people companies can’t find without us. To do that we need to approach and meet with as many highly skilled professionals as we can. We meet them over the phone, in the office, over a coffee, over a beer,
playing golf with them, running with them or any other way we can get to know someone wanting to drive their career forward.
We meet with clients to understand the landscape of their most important asset, their people. We spend time understanding their businesses, what makes up their culture, their strategic goals and what skillsets will help them reach those goals.
The value that we provide our community is connecting inspired and inspiring people to do together what they couldn’t do apart.
What skills do you need to succeed?
A great start is your inquisitive nature. If you’re genuinely interested in people and you want to find out what they really want out of their lives, then you can often connect them with an employer who will help them achieve that. A entrepreneurial spirit will ensure you keep going when times are tough and you’ll work out how to achieve a positive outcome even when the solution isn’t obvious. I can’t stress enough how key authenticity is. The professionals we place have committed at least seven years to their studies and often, over ten years of their lives to their career, they are intelligent and respect honesty. Finally, your communication style is paramount. Communicating regularly, clearly and effectively needs to be in your DNA.
