What You Will Bring To The Role
- Relevant tertiary qualifications* in an appropriate discipline and/or extensive workers compensation and injury management experience and expertise. (*Formal qualifications may be offset by extensive management experience and proven expertise in injury management; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience).
- Extensive working knowledge of the Workers Compensation legislation as well as proven working knowledge of the operations of NSW Treasury Managed Fund.
- Experience in managing a Workers Compensation/ Injury Management team that includes a payroll function.
- Well‑developed oral and written communication, negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience in providing expert advice to managers and employees on all aspects of injury management.
- Demonstrated skills in effective case and claims management in workers compensation and liability management and proven ability to direct complex legal issues.
- Experience in the use of InjuryConnect or similar injury management database, Health Roster, Stafflink and Qlik Sense reporting.
- Demonstrated superior problem solving, analytical and research skills to develop and implement solutions to complex issues through recommendations, strategies and policies.
