Role Summary

An exciting opportunity is available to join the Finance and Corporate Services team at NBMLHD as a Project Officer. You will work closely with Clinical and Corporate stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organisational priorities. The Project Officer will play a critical role in ensuring the effective, transparent, and effective use of resources that enable high‑quality patient care. Working closely with stakeholders, you will document and review current processes and supporting systems to identify opportunities for improvement and integration. Conduct evidence‑based data analysis to support FCS projects, build and maintain strong working relationships with various internal and external stakeholders across the organisation, and ensure effective stakeholder identification and engagement in all projects. Accuracy and timeliness in reporting to stakeholders, the Ministry of Health, NBMLHD Board, Executive and steering committees is essential.

Qualifications

- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience in all aspects of project management, leading implementation of projects and/or initiatives and change management.
- Ability to effectively engage and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, internally and externally,



across varying disciplines and levels, to achieve project goals.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving, conceptual thinking and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to prepare project and meeting documentation, including briefs, project plans, presentations, agendas, meeting minutes, etc.
- Demonstrated understanding, or the ability to gain an understanding, of the policy and legislative environment, and the ability to effectively operate and deliver in such an environment.
- High level skills in conceptual and systems thinking and the successful application of innovative approaches.
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.
