The Role

Maintenance & Operations is responsible for delivering as suite of operational services including road, footpath & drainage works, street cleansing, graffiti removal, and public litter collection, alongside our contracted parks and garden maintenance, sports field maintenance, tree care, and concrete re‑instatement works, among others.

Reporting to the Unit Manager – Civil Works, the Supervisor – Roads & Footpaths will lead approximately eight in‑house staff, and manage a panel of external contractors to deliver a program of maintenance, inspections and repairs across our road and footpath network, inline with Council’s Road Management Act, and Road Management Plan obligations.

About you

A hard working and experienced operational leader, the ideal candidate will have a blend of industry experience, contract management experience, attention to detail and a get-your-hands-dirty mentality, alongside a desire and drive for continual, never-ending improvement.



You’ll have the ability to work effectively both autonomously and in teams, the ability to lead and motivate both a blue collar workforce and external service providers, and the ability to coordinate and effectively manage resources towards service optimisation and delivery.

You’ll also possess a strong output focus, strong people & customer service focus, financial acumen, and an unwavering desire for improving outcomes across our diverse community.
