Your new role:

Reporting to the Head of Health, Safety, and Environment Operations, this role will be responsible for driving the proactive implementation and continual improvement of a strong and positive health, safety, and well‑being culture and ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety legislation.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide expert Health and Safety advice to operational leaders to embed a positive safety and well‑being culture.
- Lead and support the implementation of safety and well‑being initiatives in line with the HSE strategic plan.
- Drive organisational capability through coaching, mentoring, and engagement across all levels.




- Lead or support investigations of incidents, including Significant Safety Incidents (SSIs) and environmental events, ensuring root causes and contributing factors are identified and addressed.
- Ensure accurate safety data entry and reporting, including incident classification and closure within target time frames.
- Review and maintain HSE documentation ensuring accessibility and compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum tertiary qualifications (Diploma in Work, Health and Safety) or higher.
- Demonstrated experience in an HSE role in a high‑risk industry.
- Experience in relationship management of both internal clients and external stakeholders.
- Excellent working knowledge and awareness of Work Health and Safety legislation.
- Proficient computer experience in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook or equivalent.
- Ability to challenge, influence, change and improve current systems, procedures, and processes (where required).
- Ability to undertake audits, inspections, risk assessments and develop safe work instructions.
- A strong commitment to continuously apply and influence best practice standards.
- Current Australian Drivers Licence.
- ICAM Investigation Training (or equivalent investigation methodology).
