SpeaksCraft (Formerly known as Talent Club Australia) is Australia’s leading public speaking and communication coaching institution. We run programs in schools and community venues across Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth, helping children build lifelong confidence in public speaking, debating, creative writing, and drama. Our mission is simple: give every child the skills to express themselves with clarity, courage, and creativity.
We are now partnering with a new school in Hornsby to deliver public speaking and debating coaching for students.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Coach to lead weekly after-school sessions for primary and high school students. The coach will guide students through structured debate formats, teach critical thinking, and create an environment where children feel confident expressing their ideas. The goal is for the kids to participate in a debating competition.
This is a casual/part time position, with the potential to expand into workshops and other coaching opportunities across Sydney.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver fun, engaging debating lessons tailored to the age group.
- Teach skills in argument building, rebuttal, teamwork, and presentation.
- Prepare students for intra-school and inter-school debates.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them grow.
- Communicate with SpeaksCraft coordinators and the school partner about student progress.
About You
- Passionate about debating, communication, and working with kids.
- Previous experience as a debating coach, adjudicator, or competitive debater
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Reliable, professional, and enthusiastic.
- Current Employee Working With Children Check (WWCC) is essential.
- Ability to travel our locations on the North Shore - Sydney
